The Burn
Another wound to cover,
from the broken lover.
And yet you never learn,
to seek the burn.
Your eyes scan the map.
Your heart cries to yearn.
The fear is near,
it’s your turn.
Drop your shield,
face the burn.
Your desire thirsts for love.
Your love thirsts for desire.
You cannot escape.
Feel the burn.
